I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#90674) in San Francisco after graduating with a Master's of Art in Integral Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies. I also hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. Psychology has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager. Working for Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center, SEEDs of Awareness, private practice, and various charter and independent schools in the Bay Area has contributed to my growth and style as a therapist.
I value the eclectic ways people communicate, collaborate, share and experience love. I also deeply enjoy helping others find value in the range of experiences (body, mind, heart and spirit) that life offers. I encourage clients to be curious and conscious in order understand themselves more fully.
Prior to being a mental health therapist, I worked for several non-profit agencies in Orange County, California that provide services to immigrant and at-risk families. Multiculturalism and cultural sensitivity are significant and prioritized themes in my life, training and clinical work. I believe that recognizing issues and opportunities related to diversity, equity and inclusion helps clients move forward with increased awareness, self-compassion and intentionality.
I am a SoulCollage© Facilitator and enjoy using creative practices in my clinical work to help clients manage stress, anxiety and depression. I am trained in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Positive Psychology and Psychodynamic Therapy. I am also clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
